Noa shared her number to Steve, goes on a date with him, and swiftly falls in love with him. After that, both of them set off on a romantic weekend gateway — but the romance soon fades away when Noa discovers Steve’s quirky appetite. Director/ Writer Mariama Diallo uses a curse of New England to connect the past to the present, mixing different terrors, imagined and real, all funneled through the lives of three women. It is a really interesting horror movie as it leaves the uncanny ghost stories behind and focuses on the real horrors of the society. The story revolves around three women who strive to find their place at a renowned university in England  that may disguise something alarming. It was released on 13th January, 2021.


Umma is a supernatural thriller film directed by Iris Shim stars Atypical’s Fivel Stewart and Killing Eve’s Sandra Oh. The two actresses portray the role of a mother and daughter. They live a quiet life as beekeepers on a farm. But then one day, Oh’s character, Amanda, gets her mother’s remains from South Korea and is mentioned that “her anger will grow as long as she remains in the box.”

Amanda’s life is soon distressed by the spirit of her mother, as her daughter questions what other secrets and lies she hold back. Furtermore, the trailer warns “Don’t become your mother,”. The movie is produced by Sam Raimi, who is also the director of the first Spider-Man trilogy. Umma movie got released on March 18, 2022.


The movie stars Dr. Nate Samuels (Idris Elba) as the lead who after the tragic death of his wife takes his two teenage daughters (Leah Jeffries and Iyana Halley) on a trip to the South African savanna, a place where he and his wife first met. They went there to spend time together as a family including his longtime friend and wildlife biologist Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley), Dr. Nate Samuels could never truly prepare for the violent, vicious lion that attacks humans, and start to stalk his own family. The movie was released in theatres on August 19, 2022.


It is a spine chilling story from Marvel that stars House of Gucci’s Jared Leto. The movie centres around biochemist Michael Morbius who tries to cure himself of a scarce blood disorder that horribly gone wrong, however instead, he unwittingly turns himself into a living vampire. The official trailer says “The line between hero and villain will be broken.” The movie was originally going to release in January 28, however Sony announced that the release would be postponed by three months, to April 1. There was no official reason behind the late release but it’s suspected that the delay is caused because of the latest COVID-19 surge. Then finally, it got released on April 1, 2022.


Will is a young, Liberian artist with an desirable job, a great bunch of friends and a loving boyfriend. However, when his mother unexpectedly returned in his life, Will’s childhood struggles and dark past with mental illness unexpectedly gets back. The film stars Devon Graye, Zach Villa (Good Mourning, American Horror Story), Madeline Zima (Californication, You), Paget Brewster ( Criminal Minds) and Yumarie Morales (American Carnage). Hypochondriac hits theatres in late July i.e. July 29, 2022.

It is one of the latest films from A24 that centres around a bunch of young, rich friends who decided to throw a hurricane party at a family member’s secluded mansion. However, all their fun and carefree vacation turns into a dark night when they decide to play “Bodies Bodies Bodies,”. Bodies, Bodies Bodies, a pretend murder-style game that somehow got real when someone was actually killed. Don’t Worry Darling

Don’t Worry Darling is a suspense thriller movie that stars Harry Styles and Florence Pugh who play the role of husband and wife. It is directed by Olivia Wilde (the filmmaker of Booksmart). The story begins in a utopian village in 1950s California, where Pugh portray a role of housewife who starts to doubt that her husband (Harry Styles) is hiding a deadly secret. It was released in cinemas on September 23, 2022.
