CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is regulated by the competent authority CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). The main focus behind the commencement of this exam is to select candidates for the post of teachers in various schools like NVS, KVS, etc. The official notification regarding CTET 2024 will be released on the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education. The first paper will be organized for those candidates who aspire to teach the students of classes I-V and the second paper will be conducted for those who want to teach classes VI-VIII students.
Those who attain 60 % or above marks will be considered as TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) pass. All the shortlisted candidates will be provided with the certificate which will be applicable/ valid for the next 7 years from the date of result declaration.

Eligibility Criteria
For Primary Level (Class I to V)
Those applicants who have successfully cleared the 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible. Those who are pursuing the final year of a two-year diploma course in elementary education can also apply for the exam.
For Elementary Level (Class VI to VIII)
Applicants must hold a graduation degree or pursue the final year of a 2-year diploma in elementary education in order to be eligible for CTET.
CTET 2024 Application Form
- The application form will be available in the month of December at the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
- It is advised to the candidates to submit the application form before its last date of submission to avoid any last-minute hurry.
- You will find the “Apply Online” link where you can read all the instructions carefully and fill out the entire application form by providing each and every detail required in the application form.
- Candidates should not leave any field blank.
- Upload a scanned passport size photograph and signature according to the mentioned prescriptions in the application form.
- Make the payment of the required application fee via debit card/ credit card/ e challan/ net banking in order to complete the application process for CTET.

Exam Pattern
- The paper will consist of all objective-type based questions. It involves 2 papers in total.
- The paper duration will be of 2.30 hours for both papers 1 and 2.
- Paper 1 and 2 both will contain a total number of 150 questions.
- Each correct response will be rewarded 1 mark and there will be no negative marking in the paper.

Selection Procedure
- The selection of the candidates will be made based on their performance in the CTET exam.
- In order to get selected as a teacher in any of the institutions, the candidate must have attained at least 60% marks in the CTET.
- It must be noted that passing the examination does not provide jobs to the candidate. The Candidate will have to apply for the job in various schools.
- The CTET certification is applicable for 7 years only, so the candidate can apply anytime till the validity of the certificate.
- The candidates who fail to qualify for the exam are eligible to give as many attempts as they want.
CTET 2024 Result
- Only those participants who score more than 60% will be termed as ‘qualified’.
- The CTET result 2024 will be available both online and offline (via post) for the candidates.
- Candidates will not be able to recheck the answer sheets.
- If any of the information provided by the candidate is founds to be fake and inaccurate, then the result of the participant will be canceled forthwith.
