KTET 2023: Pariksha Bhawan Kerala organizes the Teacher Eligibility Test which is known as KTET. It is a state-level recruitment exam for teachers. Eligibility Criteria
For Category 1
The candidate must have cleared the higher secondary or senior secondary with 45% marks. Candidates must hold a 2-year Trained Teachers Certificate from the Board of Examination, Government of Kerala or its equivalent board.
Or
The candidate must have cleared the senior secondary or higher secondary with 50% marks and they must also hold a degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Or
The candidate must hold a diploma in Elementary Education with a minimum of 45% marks in the higher secondary or senior secondary or its equivalent examination.
Or
The candidate must hold a 2-years Diploma in Education (Special Education) with 50% marks in the higher secondary or senior secondary or its equivalent.
For Category II
The candidate must have done graduation in any discipline and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Trained Teachers Certificate from the Government of Kerala, or its equivalent.
Or
The candidate must have scored 40% marks in his/her graduation and must hold a 1-year diploma in B.Ed.
The candidate must have cleared the higher secondary or senior secondary or equivalent examination with 50% marks along with a 4-year degree in BA. Ed /B.Sc.Ed.
Category III
The candidate must have a graduation degree – BA/B.Sc./B.Com. With 45% marks along with B.Ed. Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
Or
- For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, candidates who have M.Sc. Ed. Degree in the relevant field with 50% aggregate marks from the recognized institute will be eligible to apply.
- Graduation with 45% marks and candidates who have passed LTTC are eligible to apply.
Category IV
- Candidates must have the required qualifications for the Language teachers (Arabic/Urdu/Hindi, Sanskrit)
- Teachers for Physical Education and other specialists can apply as per Kerala Education Act and Rules.
Application Form
- The application form for KTET will be available through the specified web portal of the examination i.e. www.ktet.kerala.gov.in.
- It is vital for the candidates to undergo the details regarding the examination such as category, eligibility criteria, etc. before submitting the form.
- Then candidates have to register by entering all the personal details, qualification, address, etc. correctly.
- Next, upload the scanned images of the candidate’s latest photograph and signature in the available format.
- Lastly, make the payment of the application fee.
Application Fees
Candidates belonging to the general category will have to make the payment of Rs.500/- as an application fee, whereas the application fee for reserved category ST/ SC/ disabled candidates is Rs.250/-.

Exam Syllabus
The examination syllabus of Kerala TET 2023 will be published on the official website. The syllabus will be released by SCERT.
