NDA 2023 Exam Dates have been released. It is a national-level entrance examination that is conducted every year and organized by UPSC (Union public service commission). NDA 2023 exam dates and admit card have been released. After the selection through an entrance examination, candidates are provided training in training academies such as the Indian Military, Air force, and Indian Navy. Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Applicant must be a citizen of India/Bhutan/Nepal or a refugee of Tibetan (who came to India before 1962)

Age, gender & Marital status

  • The candidate’s age should be in between 16.5 – 19.5 years.
  • The candidate must be born between July 2, 2004 – July 1, 2007 (for NDA 1). The candidate must be born between January 2nd, 2005 – January 1st, 2008 (for NDA 2).
  • Only male candidates can apply for NDA.
  • Candidates should be unmarried to apply for NDA.

Educational Qualification

  • For Army Wing of National Defense Academy:  He must have passed 10th and 12th from a recognized board.
  • For Air Force and Naval Wings (Cadet Entry Scheme):  He must have cleared 10th and 12th from a recognized board with maths and physics as main subjects.
  • Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th examination or waiting for the result are also eligible to apply.

Physical Fitness

  • Candidates who have withdrawn or resigned from any of the training academies will not be eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must match the physical standards set by the NDA. He should be physically fit.

NDA 2023 Application Form

  • Go to the official website of UPSC NDA 2023 i.e.www.upsconline.gov.in.
  • Register yourself by entering all details that have been asked in registration form Part 1.
  • The candidate has to provide his/her personal, basic, and contact details in Part 2.
  • Upload the scanned copies of the passport photograph and signature.
  • After that, upload all the necessary documents required in the application form.
  • At last, pay the applicable charges.
  • Candidates can pay the Application fee online (net banking) or by cash via SBI Bank challan or through credit card/debit card.
  • The candidate should take a printout of the challan generated online after completion of registration in order to pay the application fee in cash. The candidate can visit the nearest SBI branch for a depositing fee after 24 hours of the generation of Challan.

Exam Pattern

  • Exam mode: The paper will be held online mode.
  • Exam medium: The medium of the exam will be in Hindi and English language.
  • Type of questions: There will be objective types of questions.
  • Total sections: The paper will consist of 2 sections- Mathematics and general ability.
  • Total marks: The Paper will be 900 marks (300 for mathematics and 600 for general ability test).
  • Exam duration: The duration of the exam will be 5 hours (2 ½ hours for each section).
  • Marking scheme: 33% of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

SSB Interview

SSB Round is conducted after the completion of the entrance examination. It is held in 5 days and candidates are required to apply on all 5 days. On the first day, the psychological test will be held. The second-day test will be based on the self-description test, word association test, thematic apperception test, and situation reaction test. On the third-day group discussion test, military planning exercise, progressive group task, intergroup obstacle race, snake race, lecturettes, half group task and command task & personal interview will be held. A final group task, final board conference, individual obstacles, the announcement of results, and interview for remaining candidates will be done on the 4th and 5th day.

NDA 2023 Exam Syllabus

English

The question paper English will be designed for testing the student’s English and their use of words. The syllabus will include Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, usage, and cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English.

Mathematics

Matrices & Determinants, Analytical Geometry of two and three Dimensions, Statistics and probability, Trigonometry, Integral calculus, Differential Equations,  Vector algebra, Algebra, Differential Calculus, etc.

General Knowledge 

The paper on General Knowledge will cover various topics from the subjects – Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social studies, Geography & Current Events.
