SSC GD 2024: SSC (Staff Selection Commission) regulated GD Constable Recruitment Process every year. The authority will release the online application form for the post of GD Constable along with the official notification. It conducts an entrance examination to appoint eligible applicants for different posts in SSB, BSF, ITBP, NUA, CRPF, CISF SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. The recruitment process involves many phases such as Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination and at last Document Verification. Aspirants will have to undergo and pass each and every phase to be appointed as GD Constable.

SSC GD 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • SSC GD Constable minimum age limit is 18 years to 23 years.
  • The officials of SSC will provide age relaxation to the candidates of reserved categories as per government rules.
  • Candidates clearing 10th/ high school from some recognized board of education in order to be eligible.

Age Limit:

  • OBC: 26 years
  • SC/ST: 28 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (UR): 26 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (OBC): 29 years
  • SC/ ST Ex-Servicemen: 31 years
  • General Category children and dependent of victims killed in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat: 28 years
  • OBC Category children and dependent of victims killed in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat: 31 years

SSC GD 2024 Application Form

Aspirants who seek to apply for the SSC GD Constable competitive examination will be able to collect the online form from the official website of the Staff Selection Commission. Candidates of different LWE affected areas, North-Eastern States and Jammu &Kashmir can apply through both online and offline modes. Applicants are require to input their necessary information including their personal details and educational details in the accurate manner. Meanwhile, add/ upload a scanned passport size photo and signature after providing the requisite details in the application form.

Application Fee

Once the filling part is completed in the application form, candidates can pay the application fee via offline or online mode as per candidate’s preference.
While paying the fee through offline mode, candidates have to pay Rs. 50/- as the amount for an application fee through Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS).
For online mode, opt for facilities such as Net- banking/ Debit/ Credit Card/ SBI Challan.

Selection Process

The selection process of SSC GD Constable is carried out via following stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Physical Standard Test (PST)
  4. Medical Test

Computer Based Test (CBT)

First phase or stage of the recruitment process is Computer Based Test where candidates whose online applications are confirmed will have to participate in the Computer Based Test. It is an online test which is organized in English and Hindi language only. Meanwhile, there are a total of four sections under these subjects:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness
  • Elementary Mathematics
  • English/ Hindi

It includes 100 objective-type (MCQ) questions carrying 100 marks in total.
Each query carries 1 mark and a penalty of 0.25 negative marking will be applicable.
The qualifying cut- off marks are: General/ Ex- Servicemen- 35%, OBC/ ST/ SC- 33%.

After clearing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standards Test (PST), the commission will further invite the selected candidates to undergo Medical Examination (DME). Finally, based on the scores obtained in the Computer Based Examination (CBE) the selection of candidates will be made. Results

The results for SSC GD Constable will appear through online mode in PDF form. Candidates having their roll numbers and name in the merit list will have to appear for the medical test. After the medical test, the commission will announce the final results of the candidates.
