Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted every year by the State of Jharkhand through the Jharkhand Academic Council. This test determines the eligibility of the candidates for teaching class 1st to class 8th. The notification of JTET 2023 is yet to be released by the officials.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 45 % in aggregate.
- Candidates should have a two-year diploma in elementary education.
OR
- Candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 50 % in aggregate.
- Candidates must have completed a four-year course of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) /two-year diploma in Special Education.
OR
- Candidates must have a BA/BSc degree with a minimum of 50 % in aggregate.
- Candidates should have a B.Ed degree.
The basic eligibility criteria required for candidates in order to fulfill JTET eligibility for paper-II include:
- Candidates must have completed their graduation with a minimum of 45 % in aggregate.
- Candidates must have a two-year diploma in education or a B.Ed. degree.
OR
- Candidates must have cleared Class 12th with a minimum of 50 % in aggregate.
- Special Education with a minimum of 50 % in aggregate.

JTET 2023 Result
The result will be announced on the official website of the Jharkhand Academic Council. After the result, the counseling process will start. Qualified candidates will have to visit at the allotted venue within the allotted time along with their documents for the document verification process.
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of JTET comprises of a total of two papers; first paper is organized for primary class i.e. from class 1st to 5th while the another one is set up for Upper Primary class i.e. 6th to 8th. Aspirants who attain a minimum of 60% marks (52% for SC/ ST category) in the entrance test will be considered eligible for admission. Their final selection will be done on the basis of their scores in TET and the prescribed eligibility criteria.
