Kerala SET commonly referred to as the Kerala State Eligibility Test, is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for prospective teachers to fulfill their ambitions. It is an entrance test that is held to recruit applicants for the positions of Higher Secondary School and Vocational Instructors. Candidates must take two papers as part of the Kerala SET test. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be well-versed with the minimum qualification situation before taking any test so that any essential events linked to eligibility criteria are not overlooked under any conditions. Age Requirements: There’s really no upper age limit for candidates taking the Kerala SET test.
Educational Qualification:
- The applicant should hold a master’s degree in a particular topic with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade. Furthermore, the applicant must have a B.Ed degree in any subject from a Kerala-based institution or equivalent credentials from another recognized university.
- Candidates for disciplines such as Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry must have earned an M.Sc Ed degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from an NCERT-sponsored Regional Institution of Education.
- For courses like Zoology & Botany, the applicant must hold an MSc Ed degree in the relevant field from any NCERT-sponsored Regional Institution of Education with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade. Alternatively, an MSc Ed in Life Science with a 50 percent or equivalent grade from any Regional institution of Education is required.
- A B.Ed degree is required for courses such as Commerce, Anthropology, French, Geology, Gandhian Studies, German, Statistics, Journalism, Home Science, Latin, Philosophy, Music, Psychology, Social Work, Russian, Sociology, and Syriac.
- For English, the applicant must have a B.Ed degree and an II class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with 50% points.
- Applicants should hold a B.Ed degree in Hindi, which was started by the Dakshin Bharatha. Because the degree has indeed been accepted by universities in Kerala, the Hindi Prachar Sabha is not obliged to provide an equivalence certificate.
- For Latin, the applicant should have passed Paper-II of their degree examination in any subject (from every institution in Kerala or recognized as equivalent) with Latin as a second language and received a minimum of 50%. These qualifying requirements apply only if the applicant has received a 50 percent aggregate score in Part II.

Kerala SET 2023 Application Process

Stage 1: The first step is to register your phone.
To begin this procedure, you must provide a legitimate mobile number. You would get an OTP on your cell phone immediately after registration.
Stage 2: Submitting an online application.
You must complete and submit the online form’s academic and personal information. Following proper submission of the application, a registration ID should be shown on the screen. This ID must be saved for future usage.
Stage 3: Take a picture and upload it.
You must choose a picture in JPEG format. A max image file of 30 KB must be used.
Stage 4: Online paying Registration fee
Application fee payment must be made online. One would be able to pay with a debit/credit card, Net banking, or even other methods. In any event, the application money will not be returned to you.
Stage 5: Printing the Application
Applicants would be allowed to take a printout of the application form only after fully completing the application form. After only properly completing the following stages would applicants be allowed to take a hardcopy of their completed application. Including the application form, an address slip would be produced. For the sake of submitting the application, the applicant should put this address slip on the envelope. Upon printing, the applicant’s application form should be properly signed by the applicant.
There is no option to modify the application once it has been submitted. As a result, applicants are encouraged to double-check their details before submitting them (particularly the District chosen for the test center, the test topic, and the reservation type).
