Features of Komal Jeevan Policy: Komal Jeevan LIC Policy can be taken by parents for their child aged between 0 to 10 years. In this policy, the premium has to be paid until the child attains 17 years age. Risk in this policy starts to commence after 2 policy years or the insured child is at least 7 years, whichever is later. This policy does not require any kind of medical examination. The terminal bonus will be payable at the time of maturity or on death. Parents can also choose to take an additional Premium Waiver Benefit Rider along with Komal Jeevan Policy. In this policy, there is a guaranteed addition of Rs. 75 per thousand S.A. for every completed year.
Komal Jeevan LIC Policy as a gift
This policy can also be gifted with a single premium for love and affection by close relatives, such as grandparents, elder siblings, uncles, or aunts from the parental or maternal side. In gifted policy cases, the policy will also be proposed by the father, mother, or legal guardians. No medical examination is not required in this kind of gifted policy as well.

Komal Jeevan Policy Benefits
Premium Waiver Rider Benefit
The proposer can avail premium waiver rider benefit under the policy for which an additional premium will be payable. For this benefit, the lives up to 50 years are eligible subject to normal underwriting needs, such as the production of proposer’s standard age proof, and his medical examination is must need.
Term Rider Benefit
The proposer can avail term rider benefit to the extent of 20% of the basic sum assured under this policy but not exceeding Rs. 1,00,000. The insured will get this benefit if in case he/she dies before the policy anniversary on which the child completes 18 years of age. For this benefit, the age up to 50 years is eligible subject to normal underwriting needs.
Maturity Benefit
The insured will get 20% of the sum assured on maturity at the end of 18 and 20 years. Whereas at the end of 22 and 24 years the insured will get 30% of sum assured and at the age of 26 years he/she will be paid G.A. + L.A. (if any of these has been paid).
Example
Mr. Vishal Arora, aged 32 years has taken Komal Jeevan Policy for his son Ritesh aged 4 years for the sum assured amount of Rs. 2 Lacs with PWB and TRB. The risk cover of Ritesh will start from the policy anniversary after the 7th year is completed.
Ritesh will be paid Rs. 40,000 at the age of 18 years as his 1st installment and Rs. 60,000 respectively. Finally, at the age of 26 years, Ritesh will get Rs. 3,30,000 as G.A. @ Rs. 75 per thousand + bonus (if any is applicable). If Ritesh dies unfortunately after the commencement of the risk (means 7 years maturity) then full S.A. (Rs. 2 Lacs + G.A. @ Rs. 75 per thousand S.A. + L.A.) will be paid to his nominee. The earlier paid premiums will not be deducted from the final settlement.
