The state common entry cell will hold MHT CET 2024 to choose applicants for enrollment to B.Pharma, BE/ B.Tech, and Pharmacy programs. Entrance will be given to several institutions across the state of Maharashtra. Admissions are open to interested individuals from all around the nation. The registration may only be filed via the internet, and the procedure is scheduled to begin in January 2024. The admission exam will be taken in offline format and is expected to take place in May 2024.

Eligibility Requirements

Aspirants must meet the following qualifying requirements:

State of Maharashtra Candidature:

  • Type-A: This group includes those who are Maharashtra residents or were born in the state and have passed their SSC and HSC exams, as well as their diploma in engineering or B.Sc exam.
  • Type-B: Candidates whose mother, father, or both are state residents will be considered in this category.
  • Type-C: This group includes applicants whose mother, father, or both are Central Government workers stationed in Maharashtra.
  • Type-D: This category is for candidates whose mother, father, or both are Maharashtra employees or retired employees.
  • Type-E: Those who have passed their SSC and/or HSC exam from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or who are from Maharashtra and live in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and speak Marathi as their mother tongue will be considered in this category.

Minority Candidature

  • Applicants from any Maharashtra linguistic or religious minority community will be accepted for this category.
  • Children of inhabitants who were relocated from J&K to any part of India or to a relatively safer place in J&K due to terrorist activities from 1990 onwards; or • Children of IAS/ IPS/ IFS or military/ paramilitary forces or J&K police officers transferred to J&K who decided to join the vacancy on or before the last date for application submission will fall unemployed.

Candidature for the whole of India:

This category will include all other candidates of Indian nationality.

Education

  • For BE/ B.Tech, a pass in class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical, or Vocational courses with a minimum of 50% aggregate mark in these disciplines.
  • For BE/ B.Tech (lateral entry): Those who have completed a diploma in a relevant area of engineering or who have completed a B.Sc in Mathematics at the 12th-grade level are eligible for lateral entrance into engineering/ technology programs.
  • B.Pharma, applicants must have received a 50 percent aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology/ Biotechnology in their class 12th exam (45 percent for Maharashtra’s SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).

MHT CET 2024 Application Form

On the official site dtemaharashtra.gov.in, the MHT CET registration form 2024 is expected to be published in January 2024. Applicants who are interested and eligible may apply for admissions online.

  • Applicants must fill out the form with personal information, contact information, educational information, and so on.
  • Applicants must also scan and submit their picture and signature into the application.
  • The properly completed application form, together with the required application fee, must be sent on or before the deadline.
  • Applicants should save a copy of the application form as well as the fee payment receipt for reference purposes.
  • Incomplete applications, applications with fraudulent information, and applications submitted by mail or courier will all be rejected.
  • Candidates may pay the application cost through Internet Payment, Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, and other methods.

Exam Pattern

  • Number of papers: 3 (Paper 1- Mathematics, Paper 2- Physics & Chemistry, and Paper 3- Biology)
  • The exam will last 4 hours and 30 minutes (1:30 hours for each paper)
  • There are 250 questions in all.
  • Total marks: 300
  • Type of questions: objective
  • Marking scheme: Each question in Paper 1 will be worth two points, whereas each question in Paper 2 will be for one point.
  • Negative marking is not permitted.

For Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, the test will be given in English, Marathi, or Urdu, whereas Mathematics will be given exclusively in English

MHT CET 2024 Admit Card

Using their application number, applicants may obtain their admit card from the official website.

  • The admission card is a vital document that must be brought to the test center on exam day.
  • In the absence of an admission card, no applicant will be permitted to enter the test venue.
  • In addition to the admission card, the applicant must bring a valid photo ID to the test center.

MHT CET 2024: Result

  • The common admission exam result will be published in an online format, and it is anticipated to be released in the month of June 2024.
  • Answer keys will be provided before the final result so that applicants may obtain a general sense of their grades.
  • A merit list will be created based on the applicants’ test scores.
  • The next steps in the counseling and admissions process will be determined by the merit list.
