NIOS Admission 2023: National Institute Of Open Schooling issues admission notification for those candidates, who are willing to continue their studies further. Eligible candidates may apply for NIOS Admission by filling NIOS application form before the last date. National Institute Of Open Schooling also known as National Open School is one of the major National Board of Secondary Education in India. NIOS offers education to students in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.
Every year, the officials of the National Institute Of Open Schooling release the Admission Form through online mode for the students of Class 10 and 12 and plenty of students from different parts of state apply for admission notice. Candidates, who are willing to secure admission to the National Institute of Open Schooling, need to fill up the application form before the last date with all the required details.

Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the complete application form for National Institute of Open Schooling 2023, all the candidates are advised to go through the required eligibility norms as mentioned in the brochure. In the section below, we have listed down the eligibility criteria for both Secondary as well as Higher secondary courses:
Eligibility Requirements for Admission to the Secondary Course:
- An applicant should have achieved the age of 14 as on 31st July 2023 for the block I in order to be eligible.
- Those candidates who have acquired the age of 14 years as on 31st January 2023 for block II are eligible.
- It is necessary for the candidates to hold a VIII class certificate from some recognized board to show a proof of minimum qualification.
Eligibility Requirements for Admission to the Higher Secondary Course:
- Aspirant who has attained the age of 15 as on 31st July 2023 for the block I are eligible to fill out the application form.
- It is necessary for the candidates to have acquired 15 years as on 31st January 2023 for block II.
- An applicant must possess a class X certificate from some recognized board in order to be eligible for NIOS Admission.
Application Process
- Students need to go to the official website of NIOS for Secondary and Senior Secondary.
- On the home page, you need to click on the “Register” button and follow the below procedure.
- After opening the registration link you need to enter the Basic details
- Then, OTP will be sent to your mobile number and email ID.
- After filling in all the details, press on to the option of Declaration.
- Students need to select any three study centers according to their preferences.
- Upload relevant documents such as scanned Signature /Previous Qualification Certificate/Address Proof/ Category/ Caste Certificate/Any Other Certificate if asked
- The type of the file can be JPEG/JPG/PNG/GIF; the Size of the file should not exceed 1MB.
- Review the information filled in the NIOS application form.
- Make fee payment and press on the register.
- At the end don’t forget to take printouts for future reference.
