Every year Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) organizes Bachelor’s Admission Test (BAT) for admission into BA programs. Those aspirants who have passed 10+2 can apply for TISS BAT 2023. By qualifying for this entrance exam, eligible candidates will get admission in 3 years BA in Social Sciences, BA Hons in Social work with a specialization in rural development. The entrance exam will be commenced in Computer Based Mode for 90 minutes by the official authorities. Interested candidates must take up this national-level examination and submit the application forms before the last date of form submission. The total number of seat intake for the BA Programme in Social Sciences is 90 seats and B.A. (Hons) in Social Work is 30 seats.

Eligibility Requirements
- To be eligible for TISS BAT, candidates need to clear their 12th board examination in any subject/ stream.
- If the applicant is waiting for his/her board examination result is also eligible. However, it is necessary for the applicants to submit their final results at the time of admission.
- Those applicants who are yet to appear for the 12th board’s exam from International Baccalaureate can also apply for TISS BAT. However, aspirants must ensure that their results must be announced and get it submitted before the beginning of the admission.
- The age of the applier must be either 23 years or less than this age.
- Any candidate exceeding 23 years of age will not be considered eligible.
- No age relaxation will be offered for candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with TISS BAT.
TISS BAT 2023 Application Form
The online application form will be released soon. Candidates can fill out the registration form at the official portal of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences i.e. www.tiss.edu.in. Applicants should keep the below-mentioned important points in mind for filling the TISS Application form 2023:
- Applier should provide all the details correctly in the application form at www.tiss.edu. All the entered information must match the class Xth mark sheet.
- Also, candidates should provide their contact details. Additionally, it should be active and valid.
- Applier should also upload scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature as per the given specifications made by the Institute.
- The fee should be deposited at last else the application form will be canceled.
- Once the form is fully filled, candidates need to get the printouts of it and preserve it safely till the further admission process.

Exam Pattern
- Mode of Exam – The examination will be organized in a Computer-based online mode.
- Duration – The admission test will be commenced at 90 minutes.
- Total Marks – Total marks in the examination will be 100.
- Sections – There will be two sections i.e. Part A & Part B.
- Part-A will consist of questions based on current affairs, social awareness, and logical and analytical reasoning and Part-A will carry 60 marks.
- Part-B will be a pen and paper-based test with a set of descriptive questions in English carrying 40 marks.

TISS BAT 2023 Result
Candidates who take up the examination can check their results on the official website of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Candidates can access the result along with the scorecard by entering their registration number and password on the login page of the official website of TISS. The result contains the name, roll number, and the score of the candidate acquired in each part of the examination. Candidates who will qualify for the exam will be further invited to choose the campus for the admission process and for the counseling sessions.
