TS PECET (Telangana State Physical Education Common Entrance Test) is a state-level exam that is organized every year for the candidates to pursue the BPEd and DPEd. The whole admission process is regulated by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who will successfully meet the below-provided eligibility requirements can apply for this exam:

  • Applicants need to be Indian Nationals in order to be eligible.
  • Candidates must be permanent residents of Telangana state, therefore, he/ she must hold a domicile of Telangana state.
  • They must complete 19 years of age as of July 1st, 2023.
  • In order to apply for the BPEd course, candidates must have appeared or passed the three years degree exam recognized by the University of Telangana or its equivalent.
  • For the DPEd course, applicants must have appeared or passed class 12th from a recognized school. Additionally, applicants must complete the age of 16 years as of 1st July 2023.

  • First of all, go to the official website i.e. www.pecet.tsche.ac.in.
  • Before filling out the application form, registration is required.
  • For registration enter all your details as asked in the application form such as name, gender, exam appearing for, active mobile number, valid email id, DOB, father’s name, mother’s name, etc.
  • Then, upload your scanned copies of your passport-size photos and signatures as per the specifications.
  • Ensure to avoid mistakes in the application form because the authority will not provide any correction facility further.

Exam Pattern

  • The Exam will be conducted in two stages i.e. Physical Efficiency Test (compulsory test) and Skill Test in-game.
  • PET (Physical Efficiency Test) will consist of 400 marks while the skill test in-game will be 100 marks.

Note: The candidates will be given a choice between the High Jump or Long Jump. Candidates have to mention their choice in the application form. However, the changing of options during tests is not allowed.

Applicants will be termed as qualified if they have secured qualified marks in this entrance test. Candidates will be able to check the results on the authorized website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

If two or more candidates have obtained the same marks in the examination then a method of criteria is followed:

  • The authority will consider the candidate’s marks scored in the Physical efficiency test. In case of a further tie, then the marks scored in Skill Test will be considered.
  • In case of a further tie, the candidate’s date of birth will be taken into consideration. Therefore, the older candidates will be given the first preference.
