Eligibility Criteria
For Primary Level
Applicants must have cleared class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks aggregate marks. Additionally, the candidate must also hold a 2 years Diploma in Education.
For Upper Primary Level
- Candidate must have done graduation with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Along with that, the candidate is also required to hold a B.Ed. degree.
- Applicants who have cleared their Senior Secondary or some equivalent examination with at least 50% marks or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in education B.EL.ED can also apply for the examination.
- Those candidates who have done their Senior Secondary or some other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks or appearing in the final year of B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.Sc.Ed is also eligible to apply for the examination.
- Those applicants who have passed their graduation with 50% marks or appearing in B.Ed. Special Education is eligible for the examination.

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the Teacher Eligibility entrance test. Issuance of Certificate
- Entrants who pass the test will successfully receive a Certificate of Eligibility by the conducting board.
- Those candidates who possess a certificate will be eligible for the posts of primary and upper primary teachers in the schools of Uttarakhand state.
- Original documents and eligibility of the candidates will be verified before awarding the certificate to them.
- This certificate will remain valid for 7 years from the day of its release. Candidates will be able to apply for the teacher’s post only till the validity of certificate gets over.
