Eligibility Requirements
For UG Courses:
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have cleared 10+2/ Intermediate or its equivalent examination from any recognized board of education.
- Subjects: Candidates should have a science stream in class 12th i.e., Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
- Percentage: Candidates should have acquired a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination to be eligible for admission.
- Scorecard: Candidates must hold a valid scorecard of JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, KVPY.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing in 10+2 board exams in 2023 can also apply for this admission procedure.
For PG Courses:
- Academic Qualification: Candidates having a degree in BE / B Tech or an equivalent examination can apply for this PG Admission.
- Appearing: Aspirants appearing in the final year exams of their degree can also apply, though they will have to satisfy all the norms within the stipulated date.
- Scorecard: They should hold a result or scorecard of GATE 20/21/22, or CAT 2020.
IISc Admission 2023 Application Process
- The applicants must read all details attentively before proceeding to the filling out the online application form for IISc 2023.

- Firstly, candidates ought to register with their valid e-mail address and password to begin the further application process.

IISc Admission 2023 Merit List
The merit/ rank list is going to be released after the successful submission of the IISc Application form online. The admission will be granted based on the scores of JEST KVPY, JEE Main, ICMR JRF, DBT JRF, JAM, CSIR- UGC NET/ JRF, CEED, CAT, GATE, NEET, and JEE Advanced. After a few days of the submission of the application form, registered applicants will be able to view the merit list at the official site i.e. www.iisc.ac.in.
Those candidates who require admission into M.Des and M.Tech (Electronics System Engg, Electrical Engineering, Earth Science, Procedure Science, Climate Science) Courses, need to qualify in Aptitude Exams and be Shortlisted by GATE Scores.
IISc Counselling
The counseling session will be only held for the qualifying candidates of IISc, which involves many steps including document verification, application, choice filling, and seat allocation via the online method. The counseling procedure is completed for the qualified candidates considering their merit in IISc exams and other required qualifying exams.
It is informed to the students that they need to keep the filled-in online form preserved till the method of admission gets over. They must also produce the admit card and scorecard once they are called for verification of documents. The testing authority will notify the list of colleges for the seat allotment in every course along with the intake in every discipline and class.
