The National Testing Agency (NTA) is accountable for directing and conducting JEE Main Exam for eligible students every year. Joint Entrance Examination i.e. JEE is conducted four times a year. For the academic session 2024, the exam is expected to be conducted in February/ March/ April, and May. The authorities of JEE Main will release the application form on their official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in tentatively in November 2024. By clearing JEE Main Exam 2024, candidates will be enrolled in B.Tech/ B.Arch courses offered in the top engineering colleges/ institutions of India including IITs. The level of JEE Main 2024 is going to be very high, consequently, aspirants are suggested to prepare better and carefully for the entrance exam. Eligibility Requirements
Age Limit:
No age limit has been specified by the authority for appearing in JEE Main 2024.
Educational Qualification:
- An aspirant needs to qualify senior secondary examination with the best 5 subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- For enrollment to B.E/B. Tech, the candidate must have cleared the senior secondary examination with at least five subjects – Mathematics and Physics subjects as compulsory along with Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or any other technical vocational as optional subjects.
- For B.Arch, students should clear the senior secondary examination with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry as mandatory subjects.
- To get admission in B.Plan, the candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- The official authorities have not set any provision for minimum marks obtained, the candidate just only need to obtain the passing marks.
JEE Main 2024 Application Form
The application form for the exam is going to be available only in online mode through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). One needs to provide all the necessary personal and educational details in the application form as per requirements. Please note that it is compulsory for every candidate to enter his/ her Aadhar Number or Aadhar Enrollment number in the application form. In addition to this, they will also have to attach their scanned copies of recent passport size photographs and signatures. After the submission of all the details and documents, candidates are suggested to get a print of the acknowledgment page and keep it safe for future reference.
Application Fee
An application form will be considered incomplete unless the candidate pays the prescribed application fee. The application charges for different categories are mentioned below:

Exam Pattern
Although the JEE Main paper 1 and paper 2 are similar however there are minor differences in both the papers.
Common rule: Candidates will get 4 marks for the correct answer, however, any wrong answer will lead to a deduction of 1 mark.
Paper 1 (for B.E., B.Tech):
- Mode of the exam: Online mode.
- Total questions: 90 questions, 30 questions each from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- Total duration: 3 hours.
- Type of question paper: Objective-type question paper.

JEE Main 2024 Results
The score and rank card of the exam will be published a few days after the exam commencement. The rank card will include the All India Category Rank and All India Rank. It must be noted that All India Rank (AIR) will be required for getting admission to SFIs/ CFTIs/ NITs while the category ranks are utilized for information only.
