Kerala Polytechnic Admission 2023 Application Form, Dates, Merit List

Kerala Polytechnic Admission is regulated by the Department of Technical Education, Kerala. All the interested and eligible candidates will get admission on the basis of their scores in class 10th & 12th board exam into various Government and Private Polytechnic institutions located in the state of Kerala. There won’t be any separate entrance test by the authority to grant admission into Diploma programmes in various Polytechnic Institutions in Kerala state. There are various institutions which are offering polytechnic courses such as Govt. Polytechnic College, Nevyattinkara,  Central Polytechnic College, Thiruvananthapuram, Women’s Polytechnic College, Kaimanom, etc. There are two streams under diploma programmes: Stream 1- Diploma in Engineering/ Technology and Stream 2: Diploma in Commercial Practice and Diploma in Computer Application and Business Management. There will be a centralized allotment process for admission to Kerala Polytechnic 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates will have to complete Kerala Polytechnic Eligibility Norms for the admission as per the eligibility given below:

Nationality: Candidates must be hold Indian citizenship in order to be eligible.
Domicile: He/ she must be the domicile certificate holder of Kerala state.
Qualification: Entrants should have cleared either of 10th/ 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board of education.
Subjects: Applicants need to pass their qualifying exam with English, Mathematics and Science subjects.
Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in the final examination in the year 2023 can also apply for the admission to Kerala Polytechnic 2023.

Kerala Polytechnic Admission 2023 Application Form

The candidates need to submit their Kerala Polytechnic 2023 Application form via official website which is www.polyadmission.org. Check the instructions to do Kerala Polytechnic 2023 Registration:

  • The application form will likely be available in the month of June 2023 (Tentative) and submit the same before the last date of submission.
  • They need to submit a separate application by remitting the fee in each case for the categories given below:
  • Application for regular seats in Public / Government Aided Courses/ Government seats in Self Financing Courses/ Special batch of Hearing Impaired (HI).
  • Management seats applications under Aided courses to be submitted at respective Polytechnics.
  • Applications under NCC and sports quota.
  • Aspirants looking for admission to the management seats in Self Financing Courses should submit separate applications to the concerned Institutions in the format specified by the institutions.

Application Fee

Mode of Payment: Candidates can make the payment of the application fee only through offline mode. Kerala Polytechnic 2023 application fee should be paid along with the print copy of the online submitted application form at the concerned Polytechnic College. Application fee for  General/UR candidates is Rs. 150/-, while for SC/ST candidates, it is Rs. 75/-.

Admission Procedure

The Kerala Polytechnic counseling procedure/ admission procedure is managed by the admission authority post a few days from the publication of merit list. Authority will organize the admission procedure through online mode only. Participants can register themselves for the counselling procedure after the publication of merit list.

The counselling procedure is going to be held in the various rounds based on the availability of seats after each round of counselling is over. The allotment of seats will be done to the candidates on the basis of their rank/ position in the merit list. The top position holder in the merit list will get higher preference at the time of seat allotment. Once the allotment of seats is over, candidates are required to personally report at their allotted center for confirming their admission. Meanwhile, they need to produce the following documents at the time of document verification process:

  • Mark sheet of SSLC/ THSLC
  • Exam certificates of SSLC/ THSLC
  • Original ITI/ KGCE/ VHSE mark sheet
  • Domicile certificate
  • Non creamy layer certificate
  • Medical certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Nativity certificate
  • Community certificate issued by Tahsildar

Centralized Allotment Process

The Centralised Allotment Process  is organized for allotment of various colleges and courses through a Single Window System (SWS) based on the options chosen by the candidates. The candidates will be allowed to select a maximum of 30 options as per their wish in their application. Candidates who are not happy with the allotted option will be able to forfeit their seats. They can claim for higher option by registering the same at any of the Public /Aided Polytechnic Colleges.
