Eligibility Criteria
All the candidates must be aware of the eligibility requirements that are required to apply for KPSC KAS 2022:
- The age of the candidate must be between 21 years to 35 years. However, the upper age limit for the reserved category is 40 years.
- The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from any recognized university.
- Applicants must be familiar with the Kannada language.
KPSC Recruitment 2022 Application Form
- All the interested students can fill out the application form online through the official website of the KPSC – www.kpsc.kar.nic.in.
- After visiting the site, they are required to provide their personal, communications, and academic details in the application form. Most importantly, a passport size photograph of the candidate and signature should also be uploaded in the specified format.
- Apart from this, candidates are also required to choose the exam language and exam center as per their preference.
- In the next step, they will have to upload all their other documents that are asked in the application form.
- Once the documents are uploaded, candidates need to pay the application fee through the modes available in the application form.
- After the successful submission, take a printout of the application form.

KAS Exam Pattern
KPSC KAS is organized in 3 stages i.e. Preliminary examination, Mains Examination, and Personal Interview.
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
- The Preliminary examination will include two papers (paper 1 and paper 2).
- The preliminary exam will be held in offline mode (pen and paper-based).
- Both the papers will have objective-based questions.
- 2 hours will be provided to complete the exam for paper 1 and paper 2 each.
- The exam will be held in English.
- Paper 1 and Paper 2 will carry 200 marks each.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
- Meanwhile, the examination will include 5 sections that are listed below in the table:

Stage 3: Personal Interview
Candidates who will successfully qualify for the preliminary and mains examination will be further invited for an interview round through the officials of KPSC. Therefore, the interview round will be the final round.
However, only those candidates who will qualify for the mains examination will be applicable for interview.
Moreover, the officials of KPSC can ask questions from anywhere based on the candidate’s overall knowledge and the way of presenting himself/herself.
KPSC KAS 2022 Selection Process
- The merit list of KPSC KAS is prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in all three stages i.e. Preliminary, Mains Exam, and Interview.
- In other words, candidates who will qualify for the cut-off for the Prelims and Mains exam will be allowed to appear for an interview.
- Then after qualifying the interview round they will be called or invited by the authority for the document verification process.
- Therefore, candidates will be allotted to the departments which they had chosen while applying for the application form.

- The result of KPSC Recruitment 2022 will be announced as per the conducting authority.
