Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) offers admission to eligible candidates on the basis of the entrance exam. Those candidates who qualify for the entrance exam qualifying this exam will later have to pass a viva-voce exam and a medical exam which is the last basis for final selection. RIMC Admission process is organized twice a year i.e. in the month of June and December. Eligibility Requirements
The students applying for RIMC must satisfy the eligibility criteria before filling their application form:
- Gender: Only male candidates are eligible to apply for RIMC.
- Age Criteria: The age of the applicants must be more than 11.6 years as on the specified dates. In addition to that, the candidates must not have reached the age of 13 years as on the prescribed dates.
- Educational qualification: Those aspirants who have passed or currently studying in class 7th (VII) in any recognized school is eligible.
- Medical standards: The applicants need to be medically fit in accordance with the specified medical standards by RIMC.
RIMC Admission 2024 Application Form
- The candidates will be able to collect the application form along with the brochure and a booklet of old question papers from the official web portal of Rashtriya Indian Military College i.e. www.rimc.gov.in.
- Later, candidates are required to make the application fee payment of INR 600/- (Rs. 555/- for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) as the necessary application fee.
- Candidates have to make the payment of the application fee via a demand draft drawn in favor of “THE COMMANDANT RIMC DEHRADUN”, DRAWEE BRANCH SBI TEL BHAWAN, DEHRADUN (BANK CODE 01576), UTTARAKHAND.

- Once the candidates receive the application forms, they need to provide all the details as asked in the form.
- Aspirants have to send the duly filled application form along with the essential requisite documents before the final date of submission.
- They must send the application form to the respective state government only and not to the RIMC (Rashtriya Indian Military College).

RIMC Admission 2024 Selection Process
The selection of the candidates will be finalized only on the premises of their performance in an entrance exam and viva-voce, followed by a medical examination by the authorities of RIMC.
Written Exam:
- Question paper medium: The candidates can attempt answers of Mathematics and General Knowledge papers either in English or in Hindi as per their wish.
- Total marks: The RIMC paper will carry a total of 400 marks.
- Qualifying marks: Aspirants need to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in each subject in order to qualify the exam.

Viva Voice:
- The viva-voce will be organized to test the candidate’s intelligence, personality, and confidence.
- Total marks: The viva voice exam will carry a total of 50 marks.
- Qualifying marks: Aspirants must obtain at least 50% marks to qualify for the exam.
Medical Examination:
- After the commencement of the written exam and viva voice exam, shortlisted applicants will have to undergo a medical examination at the shortlisted Military Hospital.
- Only those aspirants who are found to be medically fit will be eligible for admission in RIMC.
RIMC Admission 2024 Scholarship
The respective state governments will provide scholarships to meritorious students. The amount may depend on the state to state and the merit of the candidates in the entrance test will also be considered for a scholarship. The number of scholarships for RIMC Admission may range from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- per annum.
