Age Limit
- Admission in Karnataka Region RTE schools will be asunder.
- For getting admission into LKG- The child’s age must be between 3 years+10 months, and for admission in class 1st, the child’s age must be 5 years plus 10 months to 6 years 10 months.
RTE Karnataka 2023 Application form
Candidates need to follow certain steps in order to apply for RTE Karnataka 2023:
- Visit the official website of RTE Karnataka.
- Next, download the “Information handout”.
- Read it completely and click on the “Apply online” link.
- Now register the candidate’s name.
- After registration, a username and password will be generated.
- Now, fill in all the allotted credentials to complete the application form.
Rules & Regulations
Candidates will be provided admission on the basis of the following rules:
- The first preference will be given to those children whose parent’s/guardian income is less than or equal to INR 1 lakh p.a.
- The second preference will be given to those children whose parent’s/guardian’s income is between 1 lakh to 3.5 lakhs p.a.
- However, if an adequate number of applications do not receive from SC category children, then the seats shall fill from, children belonging to ST and vice versa.

- Aadhar card of the applicant (If the Aadhar card is not available, then candidates need to submit the applied Aadhar card application number).
- Birth Certificate (candidates need to check the age eligibility before applying for it).
- Income Certificate of the applicant’s parent.
- Caste Certificate provided by the competent authority.
- Parents’ Aadhar Card (Mother/father’s Aadhar Card).
- Government Approved Address Proof (Aadhar Card, Driving License, Bank Passbook. Ration Card, Voter ID, Ration Card).
- Domicile Certificate
- Passport-sized photograph
- Printout of the duly-filled application form
- Disability Certificate if applicable

How to Reset Forgotten Password?
Candidates need to follow the few steps to reset their password in case they forgot their password:
- Firstly, open the login page of the official website.
- You will find a “Forget Password” link which you need to click on it.
- Now, enter your username on the screen.
- Enter the new password in the “New password” field.
- Next, confirm the New Password by entering the same password once again.
- Lastly, click on the update button to change the password.
