- Enter your user ID and password and get the application form.

Exam Pattern
For Clerk:
- The examination will take place in the form of a written method i.e. in offline mode.
- The total duration of the clerk examination is 60 minutes.
- The paper consists of 45 marks overall.
- There is no provision for negative marking for the wrong answers.
- The language of the examination will be both Hindi and English.
- The clerk-level exam includes four sections in the paper namely General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Arithmetic, and General English.
For Group D:
- The examination for Group D posts will also be held in the form of written in offline mode.
- The total duration to solve the paper is 60 minutes.
- Overall questions contain 60 marks.
- There is no provision for negative marking for the wrong answers.
- The exam medium will be in both Hindi and English.
- It involves four sections which are General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Arithmetic, and General English.

Selection Procedure
The recruitment process includes 3 stages. The candidates need to separately pass all the stages i.e. Prelims, Mains, and Interview process to get recruited in WBSSC.
Stage 1: Prelims
All the candidates who apply for WBSSC Exam should take the screening test for Prelims. In the Prelims test, they will be asked objective type (multiple choice) questions and their knowledge of Arithmetic, Reasoning, General Awareness, and English subjects will be tested.
Stage 2 Mains
In the second stage i.e. Mains, only prelims qualified candidates will be allowed to take part. In the Mains test, the candidate’s knowledge of Indian History, Economics, Culture, Polity, International Affairs, etc. will be tested.
Stage 3: Interview
Those candidates who qualify the main exam successfully are eligible to give the last round i.e. the Interview. The final list of selected candidates will be prepared and released based on the marks achieved by candidates in both Mains and Interview stages according to which posts will be allocated.
Stage 4
The last stage can either be a typing test or a physical/medical test depending on the authorities of WBSSC Recruitment 2023. The candidates appointed for the posts of Group C and Group D will be tested based on their typing speed within the allotted time frame. In the Medical/Physical test, the physical and mental strength of the candidate is tested. Therefore, the candidates must ensure that they are mentally fit before taking up the WBSSC exam.
