Eligibility Requirements

B.V.Sc & AH (Veterinary and Animal Sciences)

Applicants need to obtain 50% marks in class 12th with PCB as compulsory subjects. Selection will be done based on WBJEE scores.

B.F.Sc (Fishery Sciences)

Candidates scoring 50% marks in 10+2 are eligible. Selection will be done based on merit in the qualifying examination.

B. Tech (Dairy Technology)

Those who secure 50% in 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subjects will be eligible. Selection will be done based on WBJEE Engg/Tech.

M.V.Sc (Veterinary Sciences)

Candidates must hold a degree of B. V. Sc & AT/ B. Tech/ B. Sc (DT) with an aggregate of 55% marks. Selection will be done based on Admission Test and Personal Interview conducted by WBUAFS.

M.F.Sc (Fishery Sciences)

A degree of B.F.Sc with a minimum 55% aggregate is required.

M. Sc (Dairying)

A degree of B.Sc with a minimum 55% aggregate is required. Selection will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Ph.D. (Veterinary and Animal Sciences)

A degree of M.F.Sc with at least 55% aggregate. For Dairy Technology, M.Tech (DT) degree with at least 55% aggregate and for Fishery Sciences M. V. Sc with at least 55% is required. Selection will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

  • Aspiring candidates must go to the official site of the West Bengal University of Animal & Fisheries Sciences.
  • Register yourself there and make your registration id.
  • Select the desired course in which you wish to take Admission.
  • Fill up the form online by providing each and every piece of information there.

Selection Criteria

UG courses:

Admission to BVSc & AH programme is done on the basis of the NEET UG score obtained by eligible candidates. Candidates who want to enroll in BTech admission are selected based on West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) score, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round at the university level. WBUAFS BFSc admission is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in a previous qualifying degree/ exam.

PG courses:

For getting admission to PG programmes, including MVSc, MTech and MFSc candidates will have to go through the admission test followed by a Personal Interview round by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fisheries Sciences.

PhD course:

Candidates will be granted admission to the WBUAFS PhD programme on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by them in their relevant previous master’s degree.

Result

The scorecard and result is a vital document that will show various details about the candidate for instance candidate’s name, roll number, parent’s/ guardian name, state code of eligibility, category, marks, qualifying status, etc.

Participants will be able to download their scorecards from the online operations. Candidates will not receive any scorecard through the offline mode.
