The authorities of AIIMS conduct an entrance examination for those who wish to pursue Ph.D course. Eligibility Requirements
Medical Qualification:
- Applicants must have cleared MBBS/BDS with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or M.Ch/ DM/ MDS/MD/MS in the subject concerned or Diploma of National Board of Examination.
- Candidates must hold these degrees from medical colleges that are not recognized by the Medical Council of India.
Nursing Qualification:
- Applicants must hold an M.Sc. degree with at least 55% aggregate marks in Nursing Specialty in order to be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. course in the College of Nursing.
Non-Medical:
- Applicants should have passed two years master’s degree awarded by Indian Universities or equivalent in the subject and courses should be M.Sc. ( besides M.Sc. Nursing) BAMS & M.Tech Degree.
- They should secure 60% marks in the last qualifying examination and desired qualifications for applying to the non-medical program.
AIIMS Ph.D 2023 Application Form
- The Application form to apply for Ph.D program will be acquired from the official website of AIIMS –www.aiims.edu.
- Firstly, candidates will have to register on the doorway examination application form.
- Applicants should upload/ attach their required documents such as Photo/ Signature/ Left Thumb Impression as per the given prescriptions in the application form.
- Applicants must download the duly filled application form and take out its print for further uses.
Application fees:
General and OBC category applicants have to pay a fixed amount of Rs. 1500 as application fees whereas SC/ST candidates will have to make the payment of Rs.1200. However, PWBD category candidates are exempt from paying any application fees.

AIIMS Ph.D 2023 Result
- The result will appear in the PDF document on the official page of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
- Appeared candidates have to pay to provide their roll number in order to obtain their result/ scorecard.
- All the qualified contenders have to appear for Stage II which is Departmental Assessment.
- Contenders are supposed to transfer a few archives on their dashboard to appear for Stage II.
- The Admit Card/ Hall Ticket for Stage II will be issued via the authorized website of AIIMS which the applicants need to download.
AIIMS Ph.D 2023 Cut- Off
- Aspirants are selected premised on the marks obtained in each stage by them.
- The aspirants have to first clear Stage I in order to appear for Stage II. The minimum overall qualifying marks required to pass Stage I (Medical and Non-Medical) is 35 Marks.
- In case the aspirant fails to secure the minimum qualifying marks, then he/she becomes ineligible to take up the Stage II exam.
