Aligarh Muslim University or AMU organizes entrance exams/admission procedures to provide admission to the eligible applicants in classes 1st, 6th, 9th, and 11th. Eligibility Requirements
Nationality:
Indian citizens, foreign nationals’ children, and children of NRI’s (Non-Resident Indians) can apply for admission into AMU school.
Class I:
The age of the applicant must lie between 5 to 7 years as of 31st March 2023.
Class VI:
Candidates between the age of 10 to 12 years as of 31st March 2023 are eligible. Such candidates should have passed class Vth from a recognized board of education.
Class IX:
The candidate should clear class VIII from a recognized educational board and should be between 13 to 15 years as of 31st March 2023. The respective school must provide mark sheets of class VIII for verification.
Class XI:
The student must have successfully passed the SSC examination with 45% marks from a recognized educational board. The upper age limit is 19 years at the time of admission at AMU School.
AMU School Admission 2023 Application Form
- Candidates can apply for admission at AMU School in both online and offline modes.
- For online mode, candidates need to visit the official website of AMU and get the application form.
- Fill in all the details carefully in the application form and make the payment of application/ registration fees online only through net banking/ debit card/ credit card.
- Also, take out a copy of the application form for future references.

Exam Pattern
For class 1st:
- The exam duration will be 2 Hours.
- The entrance exam will be organized in pen and paper mode.
- All questions will be objective /subjective type in the exam.
- There will be a total number of 25 questions and consisting of English, Arithmetic, Urdu, GK subjects.
For class 6th and 9th:
- The total duration of exam will be 2 Hours.
- It will also be conducted in pen and paper mode.
- MCQ-type questions will be there in the paper.
- Section I will have a total no. of 30 questions carrying 30 marks in total and section II will have total of 70 questions of 70 marks.
- Each correct answer will get one mark and there will be no negative markings on the paper.
- Section I of the question paper will be based on subjects- English, Urdu, and Hindi. While Section II will have questions from Mathematics and Science subjects.
For class 11th:
- The written exam will consist of all objective-type questions.
- There will be total of 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
- The question paper will be prepared based on the subjects:
Social Studies (Civics, History, Economics & Geography) – 60 marks.
Mathematics – 20 marks
General Knowledge – 10 marks
Indo – Islamic culture – 10 marks
AMU School Admission 2023 Result
Post the completion of the entrance exam, the official authority of Aligarh Muslim University will release the results in online mode at their official website for the reference of the students. The result can be downloaded from www.amu.ac.in. by entering the student’s roll number and date of birth. It must be clarified that no result will be sent in person by the authorities of AMU to the applicants.
Applicants must preserve their results till the time of admission procedure as only on the basis of candidates’ marks in the exam they will be eligible to get admission to the AMU School.
Fee Structure
Class 1st-8th (Boys): Fee of Rs. 4320.00 (annually) and the fee per installment is Rs. 1080.00.
Class 9th-10th (Boys): Fee of Rs. 6720.00 (annually) and the fee per installment is Rs. 1680.00.
Class 1st-10th (Girls): Fee of Rs. 4320.00 (annually) and fee per installment is Rs. 1080.00.
