Eligibility Requirements

This scheme provides financial assistance to the children belonging to SC/ ST category to cover their tuition fees in the best available schools at the district and sub-district levels.
AP Best Available Schools 2023 Objectives
- The objective of the scheme is to provide quality education to the students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe by enabling them in reputed Best Available Schools from Classes I to X.
- The students can bet entry for admission from Class-V, in respect of Residential Schools and Class-Ist, in respect of Non-Residential Schools.
- Admission into Class-I: Admission into Class-I (Non-Residential)
- Admission into class – V: For admission into class – V (Residential), the child must have passed 4th Class during the Academic Year.
- 50% of seats are reserved for the children of Agricultural Labourers and those from families of first-generation literacy. The rest of 50% of seats will be allotted to –
a) Orphan children: 20%
b) Join children: 15%
c) Children of Bonded Labourers: 15% - If a required number of children are not available in any category, then in such case same may be converted to other categories in that year only.
- Annual income: Annual income of the parents should not be more than Rs.65,000/– p.a. in rural areas and Rs.75,000/- p.a. in urban areas.
- Only one child per family will be eligible for admission.
- The admission of students under the Best Available school scheme is restricted only to that district to which the applicant/ student originally belongs.
- Adoption deeds won’t be considered if the natural parent i.e. parent of the candidate/ applicant is alive.
- List of Documents: Candidates should submit the following documents at the time of verification.
-Caste Certificate from Mee Seva.
-Income Certificate/ White Ration Card from Mee Seva
-Date of Birth Certificate from Municipal Corporation /Gram Panchayat/ Thasildhar/ MRO/ Municipal Board.
-Aadhaar Card
-Photo - If a student is found submitting wrong information, regarding caste & income, Date of Birth, etc., then he or she will be disqualified from the school forthwith.
Best Available Schools Admission 2023 Result
- Parents/ Student needs to visit the official web portal of Jnanabhumi: https://jnanabhumi.ap.gov.in/
- On the homepage of the website, you will see a link namely “Best Available Schools” Tab under Icon Sections. Click on that.
- Then, on the same page best available schools sub-section web page will have appeared on the same page only.
- Now, Search for the AP BAS Results and click on the same.
- It will appear on your screen.
- On the BAS Scheme Results page, provide your admit card/ hall ticket number and tap on the “Get Results” button.
- Then, your results will be downloaded into the system and taken as a print of the same. Preserve it for further use.
