CUET Eligibility Criteria 2023: Universities- Wise Eligibility Requirements

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the main authority that is responsible for carrying out the admission process for CUET (Central Universities Entrance Test). The same authority releases the eligibility criteria for CUET 2023. The brochure for the same will also be released on the official website i.e. cuet.samarth.ac.in. Candidates must note that the eligibility criteria are different for different UG courses. Candidates failing to match the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for the examination. This entrance examination is for those candidates who have passed class 12th or those appearing in class 12th examination.

Apart from this, there will also be some age limits, nationality and more. As per the speculations, the entrance exam will expectedly be held in the first and second week of July in two slots. The eligibility criteria will also consists of minimum educational qualifications for admission in undergraduate courses.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2023

There is no age limit for appearing in CUET 2023 for Undergraduate programmes. Candidates who have successfully cleared or its equivalent examination or they are going to appear in 10+2 in 2023 can also apply for CUET. In case any individual university requires age limit, then candidates must satisfy the same. The eligibility criteria for CUET are different for different courses and institutes/ universities, so the applicants must check the official websites of the universities. In case the applicant has failed in one or two subject of Class 12th, then he/ she will not be considered eligible to apply for the entrance exam. Even if an applicant clears the entrance test, he or she will not be granted admission to the programme unless the applicant satisfies the eligibility conditions of the concerned university.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2023 (Universities- Wise)

Mahatama Gandhi Central University

BJMC

One must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Maths/ Accounting as one of the subjects from a recognized school board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a Govt. recognized board. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ EWS/ OBC/ PwD category candidates. A General Test will be conducted for admission.

BCom Hons

Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification with any background from a recognized school board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a Govt. recognized board. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ EWS/ OBC/ PwD category candidates. A test in Accountancy and Mathematics will be conducted for admission.

Visva Bharati University

BA Odia

Candidates scoring 50% marks in aggregate and 50 % marks in Odia subject in class 12th for General category. A 5% relaxation for OBC category will be there. A General Test and Odia test will be there for admission.

BA Japanese Hons

General candidates must obtain 60% aggregate marks and 60% marks in General English subject in 10+2. There will be a 6% relaxation for OBC category candidates. Japanese/ English/ General Test will also be organized.

BA Santali Hons

Applicants acquiring 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in any Indian language in class 12th for General category. There will be a 5% relaxation for OBC category applicants. There will be a General Test for admission.

Central Sanskrit University

Shastri & Shastri Pratishtha

Requirements- Prakshastri, Veda Vibhushan, Uttar Madhyama, Senior Secondary, Higher Secondary, Class 12th passed candidates. There will be a test in Sanskrit language.

Harsingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya

BCom

Applicant should obtain 45% in Commerce from a recognized board in intermediate for General, OBC and EWS category candidates. A 5% of relaxation will be provided for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD category. There will be a test for Statistics, Business Maths, Economics, Accounting, Business Studies.

BA

Candidates obtaining 45% marks in any subject from a recognized educational board in class 12th for General, OBC and EWS category are eligible. There will be 5% of relaxation for SC, ST, PwD categories. There will be a test for Numerical Ability and Comprehension, General Mental Ability, General Awareness, Social Studies and Economics, Political Science, History and Geography.

HNBGU

BSc Naturopathy and Yoga         

Candidates must receive 45% marks in any stream in 10+2 from a recognized educational board for General category candidates. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC category candidates. A General Test will also be organized.

BJMC

Applicants must have cleared class 10+2 in any stream. There will be a General Test for the admission.

Integrated M.Sc. Biotechnology

Candidates should have acquired 60% marks in science stream in class 12th from a recognized board for the candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC candidates. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC, ST, PwD candidates. A test will be conducted for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University

BA English

An individual must have scored 45% marks in any subject in class 12th from a recognized board for the candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC category. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC, ST, PwD category candidates. There will also be a General Test.

BA Geography        

General, OBC and EWS candidates obtaining 45% in any stream in class 12th from a recognized board are eligible. There will be a 5% relaxation for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD category. A Geography test will be conducted.

BA Hindi       

Candidates of General, OBC and EWS category must score 45% marks in any subject in class 12th from a recognized educational board. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC, ST, PwD category candidates. A General Test will also be organized.

Central University of Karnataka

B.Sc. Life Sciences and Geology

Applicant must have obtained minimum 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent from recognized boards/ universities (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC/ EWS category candidates) in class 12th with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects.  Candidates will be tested in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

B.Sc. (Physics and Chemistry)

Candidates should have acquired minimum of 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent from a recognized board (45% for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC/ EWS category) in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Candidates will be tested in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects.

B.Sc. (Mathematics and Computer Science)

Applicants who have received 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized educational board (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC/ EWS category candidates) in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects.

BBA   

Candidates who have secured 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent from a recognized board of education in class 12th are eligible (45% for the candidates of SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC/ EWS category). There will be a commencement of General Test.

B.A. (Economics and Social Work)

Applicant needs to obtain 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent in class 12th from respective boards/ universities (45% for the candidates of SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC/ EWS category). There will be a General Test for selection.

University of Hyderabad

Integrated M.Sc. (Applied Geology)       

One must obtain a minimum of 60% marks at 10+2 level in science stream to be eligible. Candidates must be tested in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English subjects.

Integrated M.Sc. (Biology)

Candidates should receive 60% aggregate marks at 10+2 level in science stream in order to be eligible. Applicants will be tested in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English subjects.

Integrated M.Sc. (Mathematical Sciences)

Candidates should score a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at 10+2 level in science stream in order to be eligible. A test will be conducted in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English subjects.
