Eligibility Criteria
For UG Courses:
- Academic Qualification: An individual needs to pass 10+2/ Intermediate or its equivalent examination from any recognized board of education.
- Subjects: It is necessary to have studied science stream in class 12th i.e., Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
- Percentage: Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination in order to be eligible for admission.
- Scorecard: They must also possess a valid scorecard of JEE Main, JEE Advanced, KVPY, NEET.
- Appearing: Those appearing in 10+2 board exams in 2024 can also apply for this admission procedure.
For PG Courses:
- Academic Qualification: A degree of BE / B Tech or its equivalent is required to apply for this PG Admission.
- Appearing: Aspirants who are going to give their final year exams of their degree can also apply, however they will have to meet all the eligibility norms within stipulated date.
- Scorecard: They must possess a valid result or scorecard of GATE or CAT.
IISc Admission 2024 Application Form

Merit List
The merit/ rank list will be released after the submission of the IISc 2024 Application form online. The admission will be confirmed on the premises of entrant’s scores of JEE Main, JEST KVPY, DBT JRF, ICMR JRF, CAT, CEED, JAM, CSIR- UGC NET/ JRF, NEET, GATE, JEE Advanced. After a few days from the submission of the application form, entrants will be able to view their names in the merit list at the official site of IISc i.e. www.iisc.ac.in.
Those candidates who are keen to get admission into M.Des and M.Tech (Electronics System Engg, Earth Science, Electrical Engineering, Climate Science, Procedure Science) courses, they need to pass in Aptitude tests and to be nominated by GATE Scores.
Counselling
Only qualified candidates of IISc will be eligible to take part in the counseling session. The counselling session will include various stages such as verification of documents, applying online, choice filling and seat allotted via online method. The counseling procedure will be commenced for the qualified candidates considering their merit in the entrance exams and the eligibility criteria.
Students are informed that they should keep a copy of duly filled in on-line form preserve it till admission process is finished.
One must produce the hall ticket and scorecard when they will be invited for documents verification.
The examination board will notify the list of institutions for the allocation of seats in each course along with the intake in every field/ specialization and class.
