RPSC RAS 2023 Selection Process

The RPSC RAS exam consists of three stages:

1. Preliminary Exam
2. Mains Exam
3. Personal Interview

Preliminary Exam

• RPSC RAS Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature.
• It will be conducted in written mode.
• The Preliminary exam will consist of one paper on General Knowledge & General Science Subjects.
• All the questions will be of 200 marks and objective type.
• A total of 150 questions will be there in the pre-exam.
• The duration of completing the preliminary exam will be 3 hours.
• For every wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks while for any unattempted question there will be no deduction.

• It will also be conducted in pen and paper mode.
• The Mains Exam will be conducted in 4 shifts for General Studies- I, II, III & General Hindi and General English.

• Each paper is analytical/ descriptive.
• It is compulsory to qualify for each paper.

Personal Interview

• Candidates who successfully qualify for the mains examination will be called for RPSC RAS personal interview test that carries 100 marks.
• The marks in the interview will be provided considering the character, physique, address, personality, and candidate’s knowledge of Rajasthan culture.
• The marks of the personal interview round will be added to the marks secured by each such candidate in the Mains Exam.
• The final merit list will be prepared by the authorities based on the total marks obtained in Mains as well as the Interview round.
