RRB ALP 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will very soon release the official notification regarding the ALP Exam on its official web page. The application form will be provided on the official portal i.e. www.indianrailways.gov.in. which is RRB’s main web portal. In order to get recruited in RRB for the post of ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot), candidates have to pass Computer Based Test, CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test) and further clear the document verification process. The recruitment drive for ALP will be held via preliminary exam and mains exam. This exam is carried out at national level, therefore it is considered as one of the competitive exams in India. Participants who clear the entrance exam will be appointed as Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians in Indian Railways.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements: Candidates hold a pass certificate and relevant mark sheets of SSCL+ ITI or 10th  or apprentice course or Degree/ Diploma in Engineering to be able to take up this exam. Candidates applying for the post of technicians should have passed matriculation or SSCL+ ITI or apprentice course or intermediate with Mathematics and Physics or Diploma in Engineering to appear for this exam.

Age limit: The age of the applicant should lie between 18 years to 28 years to be eligible for the test. However, relaxation in reserved categories will be applicable as follows:

  • OBC: 3 Years
  • SC/ST: 5 Years
  • PWD – General: 10 Years
  • PWD – OBC: 13 Years
  • PWD – SC: 15 Years
  • PWD – ST: 15 Years

  • First of all go to the official website of Indian Railways i.e. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), candidates should input details like name, educational qualification, choice of exam center, post applying for, etc. while applying.
  • All the details in the application form should be same as provided in the official records/ documents of the candidates.
  • Upload scanned copies of the participant’s recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the formats mentioned in the form.
  • Utilize the integrated online payment gateway to make the payment of application fee.

Results

The Railway Recruitment Board will declare the examination results for each phase. Candidates are required to pass each phase to be eligible for the RRB ALP recruitment. They can access the result in online mode by visiting the official portal of Indian Railways i.e. RRB. The result will be delivered online stage wise. Different participating RRBs will release the exam outcome separately online. After the results declaration, nominated individuals will be invited to appear for document verification process. Furthermore, they will be appointed to the respective post accordingly.
