Candidates between 20 to 25 years are eligible to apply for this exam. However, there is a relaxation in the age limit for reserved category applicants:

Nationality & Education
- Only citizens of Indian nationality, Subject of Bhutan and Nepal are eligible to apply.
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1962 to permanently settle in India can apply.
- Citizens of Indian origin who have migrated to India from Vietnam, Pakistan, Zaire, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Burma, and Srilanka are also eligible.
- To apply for this exam, candidates need to complete their graduation in any discipline from a recognized educational university.
