UPSC IAS 2022: UPSC is known as Union Public Service Commission. It is a central agency that organizes top-level examinations like Civil Services Exam. UPSC conducts examinations to select the best candidates for top Govt. services like IAS, IPS, IFS, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates must be an Indian national for the posts of IAS & IPS.
  • For others, the applicants can be a citizen of India, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibetan refugee.
  • The applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
  • The minimum age to apply for UPSC IAS is 21 years and the maximum age is 32 years as of 1st August 2022.
  • The upper age limitation will be provided to the candidates of reserved categories as per the rules and regulations of Govt. of India.

Examination Pattern (Prelims)

  • The UPSC prelims will comprise of 2-papers of 200 marks each.
  • Both the papers will contain questions of MCQ type.
  • The candidates will get 2 hours for each paper to complete.
  • The question paper will be bilingual i.e. will be available both in Hindi and English.

  • History of India and Indian National Movement
  • Indian Polity and Governance-Constitution, Rights Issues, Political System, Public Policy, etc.
  • General issues on Environmental ecology, Biodiversity & Climate Change- that do not require subject specialization.
  • Current events of national &international importance
  • Indian & World Geography-Physical, Economic, Social Geography of India &the world.
  • Economic & Social Development- Sustainable Development, Inclusion, Social Sector Initiatives, Poverty, Demographics, etc.
  • General Science

Paper-II syllabus

  • Comprehension
  • Logical Reasoning & analytical ability
  • General mental ability
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills
  • Decision making & problem-solving
  • Basic numeracy, Data interpretation, etc.

UPSC IAS 2022 Admit Card

Admit card is an important credential must need to sit in UPSC prelims 2022. UPSC will upload the admit cards of all the appearing candidates on its official website a few weeks before the examination date. The candidates have to download the admit card to enter the examination hall.
