AP PGECET is shortened for Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance. It is a state-level common entrance test that is organized every year by Andhra University. Those students who want to take admission in Postgraduate in pharmacy or engineering or from the colleges/ universities/ institutes located in Andhra Pradesh state can apply for the test. Candidates who successfully clear this entrance test will be admitted to the university of Visakhapatnam campus. The registration forms for AP PGECET 2023 will tentatively be out in the first week of May 2023 via online mode only. Aspirants who are planning to take admission in the session 2023, and then need to appear in AP PGECET.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Domicile: Applying candidates should have a domicile certificate from Andhra Pradesh state.
  • Academic Qualification: Those applicants who are bachelor’s degree holders in relevant disciplines are eligible for admission.
  • Qualifying Marks Criteria: Candidates should have acquired at least 50% Marks in the qualifying exam (45% marks for reserved category).
  • Fitness Certificate: Applicants must possess a fitness certificate.
  • Appearing: Those students, who are giving their final semester examination in the year 2023, are also eligible for admission.
  • Score Card: Applicants holding valid scores of GATE and GPAT can also apply for admission in offered programs.

AP PGECET 2023 Application Form

  • The registration forms will be released from the 1st week of May 2023 through online mode at the official web portal.
  • It is necessary for the applying candidates to confirm their eligibility before applying for the examination as application forms will be released for the eligible candidates only.
  • There are three steps involved in the application process i.e. Fee Payment, Application form filling and taking the print of the filled-in application form.
  • These steps must be completed in the application form very carefully however the authority will also provide the correction facility to make changes in the AP PGECET application form.
  • Candidates have to complete the submission of the application form before the 2nd week of June 2023 as no candidates will be allowed to submit the application form after the last date.
  • Applicants are instructed to keep their application form and fee receipt safe for future references.

Application Fee

The application form will remain incomplete without submitting the application fee. Therefore fee can be submitted through Credit Card, Debit Card, and Net Banking payment gateways.

Examination Pattern

  • Mode of Examination: The AP PGECET will be conducted online mode only.
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will involve all questions in Objective-based (Multiple choice questions) only.
  • Duration: A total of 2 hours will be allotted for solving the PGECET paper.
  • Medium: Every question will be in the English language only.
  • Number of Questions: A total number of 120 questions will be there in the question paper.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer in PGECET.
  • Negative Marking: No provision of negative marking will be there.

AP PGECET 2023 Result

The results will be released expected in the 2nd week of May 2023. Appeared students can access their AP PGECET result via online mode by visiting its authorized web portal. Credentials such as application id/ registration number & password need to be entered to check the results. After the results are announced, the authority will also make the rank card available online. It is recommended to take out the hard copies of the result along with the scorecard and students must cross-check the details mentioned on the result whether they are correct or not.

AP PGECET 2023 Cut off

The Cut off is the minimum marks is set by the authority for shortlisting the candidates for the counseling process. A complete cut-off list is released by the authority and after the declaration of the result through online mode. However, the candidates will have to score more than the prescribed cut-off marks to be eligible for the counseling procedure.
